All of Chinese Folk Art's paper cuts are the creations
of Ms. Wan Zhiping, one of China's premier paper cut artists. Ms.
Wan is known for her beautiful designs, delicate cuts, and smooth lines.
Ms. Wan's paper cuts are elegant works of art, not mass-produced products
designed to be displayed for a short time and thrown away. Working
without a pattern, Ms. Wan cuts her designs from xuan (rice) paper using
scissors and a knife, attaches them to a heavy white or off-white paper,
and adds her chop. The resulting artwork is ready for framing.
